Welcome to OSCAR - Open Source Car Architecture Research! Our vision is the open standardisation of the core elements of a vehicle. Starting with the objective of developing a living standard of the vehicle chassis in a community, we are launching the ambitious OSCAR project. Our mission is to save development costs, reduce homologation barriers and create participation of all companies in the vehicle development value chain.
OSCAR was founded to put collaboration above competition, bringing together individuals and companies from different backgrounds and perspectives. Our modular chassis and open architectures allow every stakeholder to integrate their components, participate in their progress and become part of the community themselves.
We believe that a truly sustainable future for the automotive industry is only possible with an open approach to development. That is why we are initiating the renaissance of the differential design, which increases the service life of chassis by a factor of 5 with the same resources. The idea is a long-lasting chassis that continuously receives upgrade options and thus remains attractive for generations in different fields of application. This not only benefits the environment, but also creates a more cost-effective and profitable business model.
The chassis is only the basis of OSCAR. At the core, we would like to integrate homologised components and systems to simplify the development work as much as possible. By doing so, we create a level playing field for companies of all sizes ensure that innovation is not limited to a few. It serves as a gateway into vehicle manufacturing and allows many companies to participate in the next generation of vehicle manufacturing.
Join our open-source community today and be a part of the future of sustainable mobility. Whether you are an individual with a passion for innovation or a business looking to make your mark in the automotive industry, OSCAR has something to offer you.
